a friend borrowed one of my 30" cinema displays to take with (idiot -- its clearly not portable and he just tossed in his car). -- anyhow, it broke -- i have another and can't really afford to have Apple do the repair for $1200). Anyhow, is there a market for folks who repair on their own and/or just for the parts -- i know the stand new ranges near $200 retail and that power adapter new goes for like $130-150ish...

Anyhow, had someone offer me $150 for it but thinking thats low from the perspective that if someone could repair (maybe not to apple standards) but to a working condition.

I poked around ebay, craigslist, etc. and didn't find any real indication that broken ones are sold and didn't even find used stands (i mean how many people want a stand -- either you use it or you mount the display).

Anyhow -- info on the sellability of broken display in whole or in parts would be greatly appreciated. Its Tax season here in the US and i unexpectedly owe so having some extra cash via selling my broken display coudl come in handy.
