Hi
I am trying to work out how much hard disc space all my email is taking up (including 5 years of attachments).
What is the best way of doing this, and where are all the emails and all the attachments stored on the computer? In case it makes a difference, I am using Mac OS X 10.7.5
Thanks in advance,

From the Finder, navigate to the ‘GO’ menu in the Menu Bar at the top of your display. Then when the menu drops down press the ‘Option’ key on your keyboard. This will then present the hidden ‘Library’ option. Highlight and select ‘Library’.
The Library window for all your applications will open. Look for a folder titled ‘Mail’. ‘Mail Downloads’ is also located in this folder. That folder contains all attachments to your emails. If you remove, delete, or rename any of these they will no longer link to your email.

Thanks - what is the difference between the "Mail" folder and "Mail downloads"?

Mail seemed to have about 46GB of content
Mail downloads only about 4GB

Mail downloads are pictures, files etc downloaded from emails.

In response to your first question, mail can also be stored on the server.
