Where is Kindle content now stored in macOS? I just opened Kindle for the first time in a long time, was told "this version is no longer supported", had to download new version (7.1, for macOS 11 Big Sur). Then downloaded the book I wanted, but it doesn't appear in /~/Library/Application Support/Kindle/My Kindle Content/, where it would have in the earlier version. (Its cover is in ~/Library/Application Support/Kindle/Cache/covers/, but I can't find the book.) Can anyone inform where it can be found – maybe in one of the /invisible folders? TIA.

See if it's under:
~/Library/Containers/

I suggest a Finder search there, sorted by mod-date.

Thanks. There's now a brand new Kindle folder at ~/Library/Containers/ with a whole lot of junk; a search for ".kfx" therein found a file that I expect is the book. I also figured out I could download it to my Kindle Paperwhite (e-ink device) and get it there. Now to research what to do with it.
