I used Quicktime Pro in 10.5, now in 10.6 I don't even see the option to upgrade.

Did I miss the memo on dropping QT Pro??:(

QuickTime Pro doesn't exist anymore, it's been included for free in the "QuickTime Player 7" application, located in your Utilities folder.

QuickTime X in Mac OS X Snow Leopard has all the features of QuickTime 7 Pro built-in. As an optional install at the installation of Snow Leopard, you may install QuickTime 7. However, it will not be the Pro version.

Quicktime 7 is an optional install for 10.6. You can install it from your 10.6 install DVD and then use your existing license key to activate the Pro features.

Not true. Quicktime X does not have most of the features of Quicktime Pro 7. Installing Quicktime 7 will allow you to use Quicktime Pro, however, as long as you have the key to enter.

It actually gets installed automatically if you used 7.0 Pro in Leopard - thats how it worked for me when I upgraded to SL.
