Where are the printer drivers kept? And printer profiles?

~/Library/Printers (and also in the /Library/Printers folder at the top level of your hard drive)

You also maintain your printers with the app Printer Setup Utility

oooo, I've recently discovered that most of the PPD are in the Library/Printer/PPD folder within the language folders as .gz compressed files. Just uncompress those and you get a .ppd. Comes in quite handy instead of having to run a printer installer on all your machines.
