I know this is a very rudimentary question, but as a new Mac user who has been googling for quite some time (wont say HOW much time)....I[/url] cannot figure out how to "go back" in Safari. I dont see any arrows. Can anyone help?
Thanks!

If you right click on the toolbar at the top and select "Customize" you can drag the back/forward buttons to the toolbar.

You can also press cmd+[ for back and cmd+] for forward

Back and forward arrows should be in the upper left hand corner under the red, yellow and green icons. (default configuration I assume)

Seriously?

There is a little black arrow, in the top left corner of the safari window - right underneath the red "close" dot.

If you move your mouse over it for a second, it will pop up with "Show the previous page"

Or right click in that area and select Customize Toolbar and drag them yourself where you want them to be.

Excellent!

Thanks so much for the great responses. I needed to customize my toolbar to include the back/forward buttons. "SERIOUSLY", they werent enabled. My bad. :)

You can also control-click/right-click in a blank (non-text, non-link) area on the page and you'll get a contextual-menu with Back, Stop, and other contextually relevant actions.
