I purchased and upgraded to Lion using the App Store.

I would like to burn a bootable image just in case.

But I can't seem to find the downloaded application on my hard disk.

I looked everywhere, including the applications folder.

Anyone knows where I can find the file on my hard disk?

Have you installed 10.7 yet, or just downloaded it? The installer deletes itself after installation.

WTF!

It just installed itself via the App Store after I purchased it.

I am now in Lion, but can't find the installer to burn a backup copy.

will it let me though?

want to go sign in on my granddads mac mini and download it for him .. will that work?

I think to be legal you can download and install on macs under your control, but it will let you download and copy it, then install without issues. Just sign in with your Apple ID.
