Where is the Mojave download file?

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but where is the Mojave located on my Mac?

Is it possible to delete the downloaded file and/or installer? (If one even exists that is).

the installer deletes itself on installing - If you want to keep it you have to move it from applications to another folder and run it from there. However once on Mojave you can find the file again in Appstore to download it if you want to keep it
