Where is the startup applicaiton folder?

Ever since I got my MBP Superdrive update a month or so ago, it keeps trying to re-install EVERY time I power up again. Where can I find the folder that OSX looks for to launch apps at startup? Thanks in advance!

login items in system prefs -> accounts

give that a go and see if it helps. in case you're new to mac: go to the blue apple in the upper-left corner, system prefs, accounts pane, select your username and go to login items tab in the window.

There isn't one.

1) Do a Spotlight search for "SuperDrive" to remove the offending app (if it's still around).

2) Then go to System Preferences > Accounts > Choose your account and enter password if needed > Login Items and delete the item in question

[edit] Blast mmusic got to it before me. Oh well, maybe spelling it out helped?

You can just delete the Superdrive update once you installed it.

The place to check would be in your startup items under your profile:

System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items..
