Does anyone know where in the Mac OS drive the actual app files are stored? It might be nice be able to have a copy of an older app on hand in case a newer update isn't quite as good as the older one (like the just released new update for G Map). Is it possible to swap a newer version of an app with an older one by putting it back into whatever folder the iTunes uses for its App storage?

Yeah, I just found the folder. Is it possible to replace versions of purchased apps with older ones there by just removing the newer one and replacing it with the older one or is there some sort of copy protection thing that gets in the way?

You can do that only if you own that app. If I took my friend's version of XXX (don't get the wrong idea) and replaced it with mine, it won't work. If I had two different versions of XXX that I own, I can swap as I please.
