Where should I sell my MBA?

I want to sell my 13" MBA (2010) base model.
So I have three options right now:
1.There's a guy on craigslist offering me about $700 (highly unlikely to agree)
2.Sellyourmac.com will buy for $960
3.I could sell on ebay (hoping to get at least $1,100)

What should I opt for?
Obviously craigslist is the safest option but also the lowest paying.
I've never dealt with sellyourmac and it's a bit concerning to just ship out my mac with no pay.

I really need a car so that's the reason why I am selling it. I also go this macbook for "free" so should I really be all that greedy

What are your experiences with ebay and sellyourmac?

Don't send off anything until hard cash is secured. If I suddenly offered you 2000$ on eBay, would you ship it to me then?

Require payment by postal money order. It is too easy to reverse a transaction on PayPal on an expensive item.

And its too easy to produce a counterfeit money order as well. Personally, if I see an ebay auction requiring a money order, I avoid it. Paypal provides the buyer with some protections, I'm not willing to sacrifice that protection

Personally I try to sell my stuff on craigslist. That way I deal with cash only, the buyer gets to examine the hardware and we make the transaction in a public place.

I don't have any experience with sellyourmac, but if you find someone who says they are reliable then go there, otherwise I'd go with craigslist. It's safer to deal with cash rather than risk sending your computer off to a scammed on eBay.

Lets say someone does a chargeback on my sale through paypal.
What's the negative effect on me?
Can I just take the payment out ASAP and remove my bank account to avoid paypal going after me for funds?

You don't have the money and you don't have the laptop - a lose lose proposition.

No, paypal has you information on file, you can't beat the system that way.

Using PayPal is fine, as long as you send it with a traking number. use DHL or Fedex; paypal won't take the money back as long as you provide a tracking number that shows the computer was delivered.
