I was wondering where to get a new battery at for my PowerBook G4 1.67 (non-High Def screen) at?

I know that Apple has their own and that I can get it with my student discount. I was also looking at OWC's Replacement Batteries, particularly the one that says it offers 21% more life than the Apple branded battery.

So it boils down to, has anyone had experience with OWC batteries or should I stick with the Apple branded version?

I had a NewerTech battery from OWC, and it worked as advertised. Much longer battery life. You can sometimes find them really cheap on eBay, slightly used.

I bought the Newer Tech extended from MacSales and am very happy. Lots longer battery life and the price was only $10 more than Apple. Shipping was quick! Ordered over a weekend, and had my battery Tuesday!

Good luck!
