Where to buy genuine Apple spare parts?

I've got various marks and cracks on my white 32GB iPhone 3GS. I had a quick look and found various places selling replacement back covers - but does anyone know somewhere that guarantees to supply genuine Apple parts? Presumably Apple won't supply parts to the public - if you pay them for a repair they just replace the phone, right?

There are tons of reputable places. Just search around for OEM 3gs parts. iresq.com, globaldirectparts.com, etc.
