I live in Peru, and I want to buy a new mac very soon... I have some questions hope somebody can help...

a) Are there retailers in the USA that could custom build and ship me a new Mac to Peru? I know there will be postage, and duty at import, but can it be done?

b) Is there somewhere to buy custom built Mac Pro in Peru??

I'm after something like an recent model 8-core with 16 gigs of RAM and a 30 inch display, so a serious workstation.

Any ideas?

Hey, I am from Peru but I don't live there right now, however I went back for vacations last August and visited the Jockey's Plaza istore listed in the posted site. Supposedly they are the best apple retailer in Lima. Their website shows they only have 6 cores and I don't know if they custom build their machines, but you might want to contact them if you haven't. :D
