Hey Macrumors! :) I was just wondering if it matters where I buy the ipod touch 4th generation. I plan on getting the 32 GB and I am upgrading from ipod touch 2nd generation 8 GB. I am from Wisconsin.
Should I have put this under buying tips and advice?

amazon had a sale, don't know if it's still going on. costco also offers a small discount.

I got mine in 2 days after ordering from amazon. Its perfect (no light leaks or clicking sound in videos). I saved about $25. And amazon is an authorized apple reseller so you won't have any trouble with apple regarding warranty.

Retail stores like Best Buy, Walmart, or Target. I wouldn't buy from the Apple Store again. If you need to make a replacement, first you need to make an appointment and wait a good hour or so before they give you the replacement. If there's something wrong with the replacement they may replace that a few more times until the tell you enough is enough. If you buy at someplace like Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc. all you need to do is ask for an exchange and they do that in 2 minutes. You'll also be able to replace as many times as need be.

Can you get replacement from amazon?

This varies per store. Don't assume that every Apple store is like this. The Apple stores I frequent all have excellent customer service, and I'm in and out very quickly.

If you decide to sell your 2nd Gen, PM me your price. Thanks!

I was at Sam's Club last night and they had it for sale at $279.00. That is the best price I have found it so for. MacMall was selling is for $289.
