X xpaulinax macrumors member Original poster Sep 10, 2013 33 0 Nov 28, 2013 #6 idk. i could have sworn when i looked at the apple website before they discontinued it, it was only $90 to upgrade to hi-res matte. i'm concerned theres not much info on that website though. i should be able to connect the cables, etc. the same way right? it should work with the same model and everything? https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/model/Apple/MACBOOK~PRO~15~Unibody~Model~A1286/ looking at last one on page but its hard to tell from picture and from whats written there. but my god. its half the price of ifixit. just figured this would be much better than buying an anti-glare screen protector.
