I'd like to buy a new MacBook Air with the 1.86 GHz/256 GB Solid State Drive/4 GB DDR3 SDRAM configuration. Where is the best place to buy this online without paying California sales tax?

You'll end up paying the state sales tax eventually on your tax return. You do claim web purchases on your state tax return and pay the sales tax, right?

Do you have any trade ins?

I had an old 15" Powerbook G4 to trade in. I used http://www.powermax.com/

They were AWESOME. Free shipping and no sales tax, plus my credit for my old powerbook.

I got a feedback survey sometime after i bought the MBA and it was signed by the CEO but the return email was a general one. I replied with my comments and stated I sure hope the CEO really reads this if he signs it.
Sure enough 1 day later the CEO replied stating he does in fact read all surveys and he answered my question on the survey.

All in all, my experience was really nice. I would buy from them in a heartbeat again and I told all my friends. They are QUALITY people, IMO.

Powermax

Here's another vote for Powermax. I have purchased several items from them and couldn't be more pleased. My latest MBA from them is a very welcome addition to my arsenal.

I highly recommend them, you won't be disappointed. :)

i got mine at macmall, but wound up paying sales tax. (chicago). i've seen others post that they did not pay tax via macmall, must depend on your state/city. they have excellent pricing though.
