I want to buy DVD-R discs that are plain on the top of the disc. I don't want the word SONY or MEMOREX on the DVD, where can I buy plain DVDs?

Another vote for supermediastore.com.
Look for hub-printable media from Taiyo Yuden, they have an excellent reputation for high quality and player compatibility.

Where to buy Plain White or Reflective DVDs?

Hi, I buy lots of them at Costco. They have about once or twice a year a special where you can get 2 for 1 on the 100 DVD-R packages. They are TDK and we've had no problems with them. They seem to be switching to grey DVD's with writing on them though. They used to be the white printable ones. Maybe youll be lucky and find some white ones during a special.
