Hi everyone

Looking to buy a previous gen 15in MBP in the UK and wondering where is the best place to do this.. can't see any of these currently on the refurb site and for that matter there didn't seem to be a lot flying around there just after they announced the new models!

Looking to avoid Ebay if poss as you can never quite tell where the gear has come from.

Any advice appreciated

Cheers

Apple Reseller Stores may be able to help you:

Or keep searching on the Apple UK refurbished store, there may not be anything there now, but they update it all the time, and you have to be quick to catch what you want before someone else gets it:

I would like to mention the last gen MBP has a problem with its graphics card (8600) and they all break after a certain amount of time. So getting a refurbished one? Anyway i'm sure you've done your research.

Thanks for the links and highlighting the prob with the graphics, looks like I didn't do my research quite as thoroughly as I thought!

Did this affect all machines of that rev or just some batches - seems weird that Apple would let a whole revision of machines out there with a fatal flaw like that....

Guess the Unibody would be a better bet from a quality standpoint - will be on the look out for a good deal on the refurb site.
