Where to buy the iPhone 5s sim Free in the US?

Hello.
I'm looking to buy the iPhone 5S sim free 16GB version (gold or white, still hasn't decided).
Now, where in California can I buy one?
I can't find listing in Amazon, and Bestbuy/Target give me only contract versions.
Also, do the Apple Stores sell sim free versions, rather then a contract version?

You can order the T-mobile version online from the apple store, it comes with a T-mobile card but you can just throw it away and put in your carrier sim card
