Where to buy the MBP?

I want to buy a high-end 15" MBP and I have a couple of questions.
A friend of mine will purchase it from US because he'll return soon back in Europe.

So:
1) Is the MacConnection $2060 the lowest price?
2) Can I buy the high-res screen from MacConnection - or only from Apple?
3) Can you get an additional student discount from MacConnection?
4) Do you have to pay sales taxes from MacConnection? Or it can be avoided?
5) Is the shipping free in the US for MacConnection?

Why don't you call MacConnection? All your answers can be directly answered by them.
 
tell your friend to buy it ponline from apple store using edu discount (8% off) and then buy the printer for 100$, send the rebate and get 100$ back - free printer. sell the printer - 8% - 100 - [price of mbp] + sell the printer
 
Can i still get the printer rebate if i already purchased a mbp without ordering the printer along with it?

@jenzjen: I would call Mac Connection myself - but I'm not in the US... if someone knows the answer why can't they just help out instead of giving useless smug comments :confused:

I bought mine at Bestbuy, they matched the $100 education discount and they have a 18 month no interest if you use the BB credit card...good deal for me

That would have been helpful to write in the very beginning. My crystal ball doesn't tell me where you live plus I'll write it, you're a little lazy.

Your internet clearly works, so I don't understand what's stopping you from going to the website and answering some of your own questions, for instance, how many times have you asked if they carry the high res version?

Have you gone to the website yet? If you had, you would have your answer.

Thank you; apology accepted.

It just strikes me as funny that you would post some basic questions instead of taking the SAME amount of time and going to their website and getting answers, that's all. So, I understand you can't call but they also have live chat that opened a few hours after your initial post.
