Can I find this config in a store, or do I need to wait on shipping? I'm in the bay area and in desperate need:

That sounds like a BTO config, but a large Apple market like the Bay Area might stock them in the stores so you could call.

I ordered that config as a refurb and it shipped from California so I had it in like 2 days, which was nice.

They won't have the SSD model in the store most likely, but they do have the 3.4GHz processor model.
