hello,

I am a student from Europe, on my vacation in Florida. Since the exchange rate is pretty nice these days, i would like to buy a macbook air 13" 256GB.

Does anyone know an onlineshop which has them available, but doesn't charge sales tax?

or do you think when i'm going into an apple store and i'm showing them my european student id, they may give me the student discount and the Mac App Store 100$ card?

thanks for your help!

When I bought mine online I didn't have to show anything proving I was a student. Apple is pretty trustworthy with the discount I guess.

Edit: To be specific I bought mine from the apple store online.

They've always asked to see my student ID when I go to the real Apple Store. And they enter the info online to verify in their system that the school is real.

If you can live without the $100 gift card, the discount from Amazon is about equal to the student discount on the Airs; especially if you factor in sales tax in non-presence states.
