I must be really stupid, because I cannot find any place to get the 1.7.2 update for Call of Duty 4. Why is it so elusive? Can anyone help me? Thanks!

I just finally found the 1.7 update on aspyr, but I still can't get 1.7.2. The Mac App store lists it as 1.7.2, but I bought mine from macgamestore.com, so the Mac App store doesn't update it automatically.
Do you really need it?
I have 1.7 (updated the original DVD installer) running on Lion, and it's working fine.
