Before I ask I will say that I have searched this site and not found any good info about where to look for Jail break updates.

So my question is where should one look to find the latest info on the Jailbreak for the IPad 4.2.1? I am not interested in a "tethered" Jailbreak since I take my IPad to many places and have no interest in having to be tied to a desktop in any way.

Thanks for your help!

I hope all the talk of iOS 4.3 being released very soon isn't holding up things :(

That's why you need to save your SHSH. By the time an untethered comes out for 4.2.1, Apple might already be writing for a new iOS. If that's the case you'll only be able to install 4.2.1 with blobs. Start use Tiny Umbrella, posthaste.
iOS 4.3? we just got 4.2.1

Foolishly no, I upgraded and lost the Limer1N JB which I thought was amazing.

Fingers crossed for the 4.2.

Ooh- with Mac App store in the works, will we see JBroken Imacs-Macbooks etc?

LOL There will be no need for jailbroken Macs. The Mac App store will not be an iOS App Store. It will is an app to automatically download and install Mac applications, that is modeled after the iOS app store. Not to mention the point of jailbreaking is to allow root access, we already have that on Mac.

Nothing amazing about limera1n, all jailbreaks are the same once it's done. If you don't mind being tethered, you can go ahead and JB with redsn0w.

And no need to jailbreak Macs, they aren't jailed in the first place.

Fair enough - no need to JailBreak a Mac, I was thinking of a Cydia/Installous like app for the Mac.

You do realize that asking for or giving help with cracked/pirated apps are forbidden on this forum, right?

That said, I do wonder if there will be a general copy protection scheme for the Mac App store, or it will be up to each developer to implement their own copy protection, the same as with any computer programs being sold and distributed today.

I did not know that asking for help with cracked/pirated apps is forbidden, good to know.

Equally good to know that I did not ask for help with pirated/cracked apps.

Yes, the FAQ/Rules link on every page is really there just for fun... Pretty sure there's also a box to click saying "I have read and agree to the forum rules" when you register, but I could be crazy
