Can anyone help with finding a replacement keyboard for an iBook G4 12"? Some of the keys on my keypad are no longer working and I've been told by apple via their genius bar that I need a new keyboard. Problem is that they no longer make these keyboards so don't have any I can purchase. Does anyone know where I can buy one? I am based in the UK.

iFixit carries pretty much every part you could possibly need, and also has detailed, printable how-to guides for installation of your parts.

Use their ID tool to find out exactly which machine you have, and they will display all the parts they have available. Good luck!

Thank you! This is very helpful. I notice it's a US website and wonder if the keyboards are configured the same, my iBook was bought in London.

You need a UK keyboard if you want the same layout, if you can cope with the US layout iFixits will work just fine. If you want a UK one however eBay seems to always have plenty, and just email iFixit and ask - they may well have the UK Keyboard

Yes, I forgot to mention that iFixit probably stocks US keyboards only - but call them up, you never know - they may stock some UK keyboards.
