where to find the backup of my contacts and SMS???

I am using the method posteed recently to quickpwn my phone however I get stuck

I can sync my phone and can see iTunes has created a backup at that point
I navigate over to the folder and make sure that hidden folders are visible however the only file created that day is like 7kb in size. Us that right?

I don't have a ton of SMS or contacts but is the entire backup only 7kb?

What am I looking for when I want to save my backup as I want to get all my stuff restored after I quickpwn.
