Where to get U.S. Iphone 2G battery replacement in the UK

Hi,

My U.S. 2G iphone needs a new battery soon and I'm wondering what my options are in the UK. Does anybody have experience with any UK replacement services? Or would Apple replace the battery given that it's a U.S. model?

Any advice or recommendations much appreciated.
