Kinda like the countdown thing or other fun stuff? I looked at iStock and a 10sec clip will cost $160. Any other options?

I never thought of a countdown as "fun stuff" but you can always make your own intros. That's kinda what being creative is all about.

"the countdown thing" is called the standard SMPTE countdown leader (usually used for film) and can be generated by Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere. Search for those terms and you'll find clips to download on the web and on YouTube.

If you want other types of countdowns, as you've discovered you can buy clips from various sources. Or composite your own using titles and a motion background. Another option is to use a timecode generator filter and run that clip in reverse.

Is that the sort of stuff you mean?

Yes, thanks. Those templates are cool.

We just got our HPX170 and FCP and have a deadline real quick, as we have time to learn that software, that will be easier.
