Where to Install Carbon Copy Cloner?

In the Applications seems like the natural place of course.

On the CCC website it says "We recommend that you install CCC on your startup volume if you intend to create scheduled tasks."

I would like CCC to update itself regularly but what is the startup folder?

What is the best way to use carbon Copy Cloner? There seem to be a lot of options.

Incidentally I also use Time Capsule and am looking into Cloud Storage options as well.

Install it in "Applications" just like any other application.
