After the release of the M1 Pro and M1 Max MBPs last week, it got me wondering what we’ll see released next.

Apple has said it aims for the Silicon roll out to be complete across all the whole Mac lineup by WWDC 2022, that’s June next year.

So between now and then we could very possibly see 27”-32” iMac with M1 Pro and M1 Max. I think that’s a definite, effectively the iMac will replace the current 2020 27” iMac and possibly be a replacement for the iMac Pro at the top end…

What happens to the Mac Mini and Mac Pro is more interesting in many ways when we consider them as Silicon machines… The Mac mini haas traditionally been a cheap entry level machine, I don’t see this changing, why put the M1 Max or M1 Pro into the Mac Mini… what the heck will they do with the Mac Pro then? How do Apple make the Silicon Mac Pro differnet other than form factor. I recon the Mac mini will stay as it is and we’ll see the Mac Pro Mini, but what‘s going to make it more powerful than the current MBPs… How much more bigger are the M1 chips going to get, more RAM? More GPU?

I got to say as exciting as the new MBPs are imagine what top end new iMacs or top end Mac Pros are going to looks like….
