A friend of mine, who used to work in a pharmacy got me a tube of Tretinoin (acne cream) and it's almost used up. I'm trying to find a place online that is reliable to order another tube of this stuff.

I don't have medical insurance, that's why I am not getting this thru my dermatologist.

Thanks for any help :apple:

If it is a prescription medication, you won't be able to get it without a doctor's approval. I think you are out of luck.

There are plenty of websites online that I can order it from, I just don't trust them with my credit card. I'm just asking if there are any reliable ones.

You do realize that it is illegal to obtain prescription medication without a prescription... right? Isn't it?

No problem just go down to your local walk in clinic, see a Dr. and he'll write you a prescription you can fill for free :) Oh wait that's right your in the States. . . well good luck finding reliable illegal prescriptioni :)

Oh, and IBTL.

I just want some damn pimple cream, omg lol

Lol, I feel for you man.. back in India I could just walk down to a pharmacy ('chemist shop' out there) and get practically anything - antibiotics, anti-virals, antihistaminics, etc - with *no* prescription. (Sedatives and dangerous stuff required prescriptions of course)

Imagine having to spend money to visit the doctor, have insurance etc etc - just to get pimple cream :p

The private insurance system in the US is head and shoulders above the public systems abroad. While there is coverage for everyone in public systems, the time to get care is MUCH GREATER.

I used Proactiv for a while but what REALLY worked for me... Was an abraisive washcloth is the shower that I SCRUBBED my face with soap DAILY... try it.

And your source for that is...?

We have free healthcare here and I never had a problem with waiting to getting treatment. While it is true that some people may have to wait for non-urgent procedures that is not as common as people think AND people still have the choice to get treated at a private hospital if they wish. So at least here everyone gets treated and those that can afford it can do so in private hospitals and clinics.

What do you think is better: not getting treated at all because you can't afford it or having to wait a little bit for treatment?

How is this at all legal?

I believe these places have a doctor on staff that can "diagnose" you based on a an e-mail description of your symptoms/what you have been treated for, etc.

When I was uninsured, I used to get my anti-depressants in this manner.

Didn't know that. Good to know. Thanks!
