Is there any advantage in purchasing my iPhone from the Apple store, or other place like Best Buy and AT&T? I assume any warranty service would be done by the actual place of purchase correct? Unless I get an extended warranty of course.

At this point, it is the same. Warranty replacement is best to do it in Apple.

I believe it is true that no matter where you buy, warranty issues and tech support are handled by Apple.

Best Buy they offer accedental insurance for the iphone, so if ya drop and break it they replace it for free.

I won't purchase a Best Buy extended warranty but am looking at Square Trade instead.

I found out tonight AT&T sells the same thing for $4.99 a month.

I may go with BB's plan anyway....I'll be saving $50 off the iPhone....that's like 3 free months of the coverage.

I'm eligible for the upgrade on Thursday, can't wait to get my first iPhone :D

yeah go best buy!

Correct BestBuy charges about $15 per month for insurance but it is rather complete in that is supports; loss, accidential damage, etc...

Dave

Does best buy really replace your phone if you lost it? I highly doubt this b/c you could just say you lost your and have two iphones...

If I can find a deal code for Square Trade then it should be lower than Best Buy.

I'm definitely going with SquareTrade now....didn't know about them before - only $120 for a 2 year coverage, and yeah, hopefully some coupon codes work :)

I have not found any Square Trade coupon codes that work anymore.
