Where to trade 17" mbp for 15" rmbp

HD hi res anti glare
16gb owc ram 1600mhz
512gb samsung 830 ssd
applecare
10.9 dp4
custom leather case by sf bags

I want to trade it for a 15" rmbp
any stats

Gazelle offers 1400
apple offers 1200

should I sell it and buy a refurb or does anyone know where or how to barter?

Your best bet is craigslist if you want to barter. Maybe post a separate ad asking you are willing to trade your laptop for a Retina MBP maybe with cash on either end.

I would honestly just sell it for cash via eBay or craigslist and use that money to find a nice rMBP.

Craigslist, et cetera. There also happens to be a marketplace forum here but it requires a certain number of posts and at least 6 months membership.

+1 for Craigslist. I bought my current 15" on Craigslist then turned around and sold my old 17" a week or so later. Took longer to talk the seller down on price than to sell the old one.
