For webdesign and development purposes, I need IE. I have searched through google and other pages, but all I get are links to microsoft, who doesnt support IE anymore...and they dont even haveit on their downloads page...WHERE CAN I FIND IT?!!??

IE Mac isn't available for download anymore (from MS) and is no longer supported by Microsoft....

Anyway, the Mac version was terrible and rendered pages totally differently than the Windows version. If you actually want to test pages in IE, get Windows or VPC and use the windows IE.

As far as I know, very, very few people use Mac IE anymore anyway.

Calm thyself.

Try this link to Tucows. I tested the download and it works.

It will give you IE 5.1.6, not 5.2.3. It's the most recent download I can find.

For future searching reference: found it by searching Versiontracker for IE for OS 9 ...

I actually pulled this link off of the wikipedia entry for it.

You can download many different versions of IE here.

yep the download works. although i don't know if IE will run from this download as i haven't tried it.

It doesn't matter to have the Mac version anyway. Your goal is to test IE for Windows, right? They're completely different. The Mac version has a percentage of users likely much smaller than 1%, so it's useless at this point.

if you're using it for development purposes, the only way to do it is instally VPC and run windows to test :(

i really think that it'd be possible to port IE to Mac as Open Source. hell, i'd pay £50 for that easily. i hate having to have VPC, it's painfully slow.
