Resumed iMac from sleep this morning to find a "?" on the dock where the downloads folder was. I have shifted the location of this folder about a bit, specifically to different external drives, but didn't think I"d done anything with it for a couple of days.
How can I find out where the Mac thinks it last was or is meant to be now? Or where would I look to see at what point it vanished? My external drives are excluded from Time Machine.
EDIT; Well, on second time of looking, it was in the trash. I could swear it wasn't when I first looked.
Would still like to know how to backtrack and find out at what time the change was made that caused this folder's location to move.
