Does Radio Shack/ FYe sell Ipod Touches?

how will I know i am buying a 2g and not a 1g

buy it in person, there's a difference between the 1g case (it's a black box) and a 2g case (it's like plastic and you can see the iPod through the case).

does that help?

The first gen comes in a black boc, while the second gen comes in a clear plastic package, similar to the iPod Classics, Nanos, and Shuffles.

Walmart has the 8GB 2nd gen iPod touch for $227.88 - gotta love their funky prices, but that's actually the "lowest" on the shelf price you're gonna find in the US. Even Fry's sells iPod touches for retail pricing, weird. Walmart beats 'em all by a dollar and twelve hole cents!!! :D

They also have a crazy liberal return policy, something like 4 months or whatever as long as you keep the original receipt. I prefer buying local from non-Apple Stores because I can't stand the people at Apple Stores, especially the management. Too uppity, too nose-in-the-air for me, especially here in Vegas. They treat "customers" like idiots - and don't even get me started on making a return if something is defective, that's a thread all by itself...

Wal-mart here is 15 days for portable music players. I would say either bestbuy or target, as neither (at least around here) have a restocking fee. BB is 30 days, target is 90 days. I got mine at target.

My local Costco has it for $219.99 with a 90 day warranty and there free tech support. That's where I'll be getting mine if Obama wins. I have a bet with my mom :D.

Can anyone please give me credible names of sellers for the ipod touch 2g in ebay? And, also, how long did it take for you to receive your ipod touch?

if you buy the best buy warrenty, and it breaks in a yr or so, they'll give u the new one instead of the old one!

I'll throw another vote for Best Buy and get their warranty plan. cheaper than apple's lasts the same amount of time.

I've experience problems with Best Buy's warranty plan - I suggest an Apple Store or Apple online. Free engraving!

I've been cruising eBay, and I've seen some reasonable prices there. Of course, check the seller's rating.

Actually the 120gb classic now coe in a white box similar to the 1st gen touch's.

You're automatically smarter than anyone who works at Walmart, but if you shop there, you're not THAT much smarter :p

I sure hope you don't get one!!!:):):)

But, I do agree that COSTCO is probably the cheapest.

You get a free $25 gift card with the purchase of an iPod Touch at Target this week.
