Wheres the spyware and chat?

Hi all newbie and first poster here.

I have an iBook and love being a switcher so far. I have 2 questions I have always wondered about...

1) Where do Mac people chat. MSN chat on a mac with Safari is impossible, Yahoo is crippled somewhat (it has audio on the PC side, which is cool if you like hearing people swearing at each other)

2) Is there spyware on a Mac? I hear little about Mac viruses and even less about Mac spyware

Try IRC channels for this forum and other Mac related sites. Did you want to download spyware, or are you trying to avoid it? To download, search VersionTracker for a keystroke logger. To detect, search VT for "spyware."
