Which 2017 MB Pro would be better for editing 4K drone video?

3.1Ghz i5 with Iris Plus 650, or 2.5Ghz i7 with a 640? All other specs the same, and will likely just use iMovie or another simple editing program for quick edits, adding music, etc.

Niether. Wait a few months for the 2018 refresh and get the 6 core MB Pro.

The iris plus will be marginally better it if you want fast 4K rendering you will need a 15 inch with a dGPU and quad core processor. If you can wait this yrs 13 inch model should either have a quad option or Radeon graphics.

Thanks! Was trying to find the cheapest way for my buddy to edit his drone videos, and it’s just for a hobby using iMovie (professional results not required), so I took the 2 choices from Apple Refurbished. He has an older PC that he uses for everything else. But maybe I’ll talk him into an iMac after the refresh.
