Hey, I purchased a Western Digital my book external hard drive for my Mac Pro but I had issues with it trying to remove the Smartware software (installing Firmware and Virtual CD Manager didn't remove it). I plan on returning it.

What 2TB External Hard Drive should I get for my Mac Pro running Snow Leopard 10.6.3? I would prefer it to have Firewire but it's not a necessity. I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.3. Should I get the OWC Mercury Elite-AL Pro, or the LACIE 2TB?

Any other external drives that I should check out?

Thanks guys

I've always found the LaCie's pretty sweet bud, just bought one myself, having a few formatting issues though :(

Interesting

I followed the link you provided and they claim that their machines are made by Fujitsu, Hitachi, Samsung, Seagate and Western Digital. I just bought a LaCie. I think it might have been made by Seagate. So, why didn't I buy a Seagate and avoid the opportunity to pay LaCie a little MORE money for putting their name on it? Oh well.
