Hi,

I am looking to outsource my Itunes Library onto a 2 TB external drive. Ideally the drive should be compatible with and also powered through Firewire 800. (Don't want an external power cable). So far I only found 1TB drives in 2.5" that are powered through Firewire 800. Are there any drives available in 2TB?
What about the Seagate Goflex Desk or WD My Book Studio LX? Do these drives require another power cable?

Many thanks in advance,

2TB HDs are 3.5" and they need more power than FW800 can provide, thus you need an external PSU. The biggest 2.5" I've seen is 1.5TB

2.5'' drives come in various heights. If you are planning to buy the drive and enclosure separately, the 1TB and 1.5TB drives are physically larger and will not fit in many laptops or consoles or some enclosures.
