Im using MacBook Pro Retina 15 - late 2015 model. Im a filmmaker who does the job on Final Cut Pro and my eyes bleed working on the MacBook Pro.

I need a bigger display to work, so that I dont have to cramp in each edit and mouse movements.

I started looking at,

But later found that, the retina doesnt look proper on the display, even if its 3440x1440 resolution monitor.

Now, there is not a single 4K monitor of that width, so I ended up checking this two displays which are same price and does 4K output as well,

Now the LG is 17:9 and 31 inch, 4096 x 2160

Dell is 16:9 and 43 inch, 3840 x 2160

Now, Im confused which display to take, so that I dont have to upscale downscale anything and everything just same as what it looks on retina.

Suggestions please ?

Yeah, it's kind of a vague question. No one can tell you what size display to get, that's up to you. For me, a 43" monitor would kill my neck because I'd have to swivel my head back and forth all the time.

We also don't know what you mean by "retina doesn't look proper on the display". I will guess that color accuracy is of extreme importance to a film editor; if that's true then you may want to look at displays that are factory calibrated or known to be especially accurate. Perhaps you could get better recommendations on a Final Cut Pro forum.
