Whichever is the correct pinout and speed, with a reputable brand that has a good warranty. Ram is ram is ram.

I have the OWC one, but I think they're all the same.
Whichever one is cheapest I would get.
Just don't get this:

A lot of people say that. But from what I understand their is ram that's made cheap and ram that's quality. So ram is not ram.
I have the 8 GB GSkill kit in my 15" MBP. Works like a CHAMP!

Went with the G-Skill because I'm keeping my old ram just in case I have to deal with Apple.
Again, replacing the RAM and HDD with aftermarket ones DOES NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
Just a reminder.![]()

we tried to fix ur machine but the rams aren't ours, and it ain't good. Kthxbai!
But it doesnt prevent Apple from returning the box from a service call with a sticky slapped on the top that says:
we tried to fix ur machine but the rams aren't ours, and it ain't good. Kthxbai!
That is VERY likely factually incorrect as Apple wouldn't use ghetto English in a response to a customer.

NuRam as well as OWC branded ram both give you lifetime warranty.
Just get the cheapest NuRam, and ship them your ram that you'll be replacing, OWC will send you a rebate up to $50.
Not sure if you're aware that after the rebate your 8GB NuRam will be about $119.
