Hey guys, i wanted to point this out there so we can all figure out what most of us use.

As most of you if not all use google chrome 12, the extension to block Ads which is called Adblock is a must, however, there are 2 version of Adblock for Chrome.

but heres the thing, there are 2 adblock extensions for chrome one is called "Adblock" and the other is called "Adblock Plus", now i have no idea which one is better but iv been a long time "Adblock" user and its been great. the reason i didnt even try "adblock plus" is because many people complain that it has memory leak problems and such.

Which one do you guys use and if so why do u use it over the other?

I use the AdBlock extension. I think the only reason is because Adblock Plus wasn't around for Chrome at the time. Don't exactly remember

looks like three of us use the same extension, he is a very responsive dev indeed.

Can the AdBlock programs actually prevent the ads from being downloaded now?

At first, Chrome didn't have that ability, so ads would download, and then be hidden (which half defeats the purpose, IMO).

yes they are now not even downloaded, "Adblock" does that, i dont know if adblock plus does that too.
