Which app can we use/buy on Day one to show off the Retina display of the new iPad? other than the built in apple apps of course

The art app they show in the new iPad commercial is Art Rage so that's a choice.

Apps are only just now getting approved for Retina display support so you'll have to check and see over the next few days.

Alienblue! The developer has said that the new version supports the Retina iPad too!

I remember single sided floppy disks. 160k. I mounted a 4MB hard drive on a fridge sized mini computer and needed to use both hands.

Ahhhh, kids today... :p

Really?

Given the specs you mentioned I have been using computers just as long as you have then. Please help me to understand how questioning the size of a 4MB picture that the OP classified as a really big picture categorize me as a kid.

FYI the the sizes of the pictures that my camera takes is usually around 26MB.

I was joking...

Tweetbot for iPad was just updated to take advantage of the Retina Display for Friday. And trust me, you won't be buying Tweetbot just to see the app on the Retina Display. You'll buy it because its the only Twitter app worth owning.

Watch a 1080p movie or TV show. Load a full resolution photo. Just a couple of ideas off the bat.

I'm actually writing an app right now with the sole purpose of showing off the retina display. It has the option of turning 'retina mode' on and off so you can see the difference. I'll keep you all posted if you are interested.

Echofon Lite does the job for me. Why would I need Tweetbot?
