When Steve Jobs was giving a keynote speech and introducing Tiger, there was a part where he was demonstrating the capabilities of core image. He had a picture of some zebras which he turned purple, and some text which he made appear to be burning.

Do you have any idea what app he might have been using to demonstrate this?

Just a guess, but it could be Core Image Fun House, which is included with the Xcode Developer Tools.

Thanks a lot! I'm off to explore. Does using this require developer knowledge?

Can't reply very quickly at the moment - our line was upgraded last weekend and now it's really slow!!

No, you don't need developer knowledge just to play around with it.

There's also another app (don't recall the name) that you can use with Core Image to build screensaver modules - anyone recall the name?

I downloaded a free app called Image Tricks which I've always assumed utilises it. Even if it doesn't, it's fun and it's free. Not what you're talking about though.
