Hi everybody,

I use to convert all of my old video stuff from AVI to MP4 for the sake of ease of view but some of them are just too big (maybe some have been badly upsampled) in res vs quality and as such I'd rather downsample them to save space and bandwidth when streaming or for storage, which utility, possibly freeware, could I use to achieve such goal, something like Handbreak or is there anything else to suit?

Grazie

Giovanni

I use Handbrake for this kind of thing, works really well for me and it's free. I also have Apple Compressor and that is good for some specialized things. But I generally find that Handbrake is faster and makes smaller files, and when I compare with Compressor I can't see any difference.
