Which Apple Service Diagnostic for Macbook 1,1

I have now tried the 3 different Intel ASD discs that I have on my cousins Macbook 1,1/Mac-F4208CC8

None of them seem to be for this machine. Can anyone point me in the right direction to figure out which version of ASD I need?

If it is a MacBook 1,1 (Core Duo) then you want the 10.4.6 disk - AHT version 3A104.

Others (later) may work...

I have tried 3S108 and 3S116. Neither of them work. It is indeed a 1,1 Core Duo 2.0ghz.

I'll try to get my hands on the 104 you mention.

Is AHT (apple hardware test) the same as ASD (apple service diagnostics) ?

AHT is the consumer version included with the Mac.
ASD is the "professional" version.

Depends what you are trying to test (and why ?).........

I want ASD. I want what they use to test this machine, because I need to be 100% absolute on what could be wrong. If it's too much to fix my cousin will buy a new machine and junk this one.

I feel like the hard disk is done, but I have a sneaking suspicion that there's a deeper problem.

Well if you want ASD you have to go to the Genius bar; They don't sell it; it's Apple internal software.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already understand that.

I will be able to obtain it, that's not the issue, hence why my original question pertains to which version I need, and not where to get it, which I know should not be discussed here anyhow
