Which apps are affordable and worth it?

Hey.

I'm looking to 'decorate' my iMac with some cool apps.

As it stands, I already have Photoshop.

However, I'm looking for an app that will give my picture special effects like curves at the sides with just a click or two. Picturesque looks the choice, but are there any ones out there which are better and cheaper?

Also, I'm looking at CoverSutra. Is it worth the sum spent or is there a better alternative out there?
