Certain Bluetooth devices cause Siri to freeze for 5-10 seconds on startup (the first time you hold the home button down). Siri will pop up but will not start listening for your voice for 5-10 seconds. During the delay the circular microphone button will be 'off' and won't be listening.

At first, I didn't even realize there was a problem, I just assumed Siri took 5-10 seconds on startup to connect to Apple's servers... i.e. an annoying but unavoidable delay. But no, after some research and trial and error, it is absolutely caused by certain Bluetooth devices. If you turn Bluetooth off, or otherwise disconnect the offending devices, Siri will begin working properly without any delay on startup.

If you're using Bluetooth and Siri doesn't start listening for your voice immediately upon bringing up the Siri screen, then your bluetooth device is causing the delay. Please let us know what Bluetooth device you are using so we can get a comprehensive list of devices which cause this issue.

So far I know the Panasonic KX-TH1211/2 and Jabra Freeway cause this problem.
